These two pictures are examples of the work of Mark Osborne.  Mark says, "

I served as a Torpedoman on the U.S.S. Blakely (FF-1072), out of Charleston, from 1979-1982.
I've always loved the Knox fleet, and have been painting each one for the last 8 years, along with defining each ships crest, by adding shading and trying to make them look as 3-D as possible.
I recently did a JLB print for an old friend that I made E-6 with back in 1987, who now is an OLD E-9 getting ready to retire.
I've attached that scan so you can see how my ships look. I take pride in my detail and try to make each ship unique in it's own way.

Download this picture (it is a scan of a color positive of a painting that was given to the wardroom after the upkeep period that added the hurricane bow).  The files are so large I stored them on my own server rather than take the time to upload them which is why you are going to get re-directed if you click here.

We have established a Jesse L Brown  email group.  Click here to go to yahoo groups to join.  If you have a problem email me  and I'll add you to the list.  Webmaster.
